From the beginning
Company history
The key milestones in OSM Skierniewice's development show the journey from a local initiative to a modern dairy production facility.
Beginning of the dairy project
On January 21, 1945, the establishment of a dairy plant in Skierniewice was considered essential.
Start of production
Production began on January 1, 1946, and the cooperative was established in a building on 1 Maja Street.
New location
A new dairy plant was built at 83 Jana III Sobieskiego Street, which remains the current headquarters of OSM.
Powder plant expansion
A type “G” milk powder plant with a daily capacity of 400,000 litres was commissioned.
Production modernisation
The powder plant was modernised and adapted for the production of whole milk powder.
European standards
The dairy plant and powder facility were upgraded to comply with European Union requirements.
New technological capabilities
Production processes were expanded, including sweet whey powder manufacturing and dust emission reduction systems.
Mozzarella development
Production facilities were modernised with new mozzarella manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Modern evaporation system
The concentration stage of dairy raw materials was upgraded through the implementation of a modern evaporation system.
Energy modernisation
The boiler house and drying plant were modernised, replacing coal-fired technology with natural gas solutions.
Packaging automation
An automatic dosing and packaging line was implemented at the production facility.
Further investments
The modernisation of mozzarella packaging lines and the development of new product formats continue.
